Commentary
By E. Ethelbert Miller 9-11-2017

Everywhere Trump Towers
rising from quicksand and cement.
Where do we find shelter from the storms?
What has collapsed is civility.
I believe how it ends is never how
it begins.
Since the beginning of the year
I've had a fear of flying.
So much white anger in the air.
I can't breathe.
What is this strange ash that covers
my black body?
How long has America been burning?
