Alan Parker works as a paraprofessional in a class for students with multiple disabilities in Tulsa Public Schools. He is also the Music Director for First Presbyterian Church in Perry, Okla., where he and Janet are both members. He has spent most of his adult life as a full-time church Music Director and has also done work as an artist in the schools. Alan grew up in Norman, Okla., and has a bachelor's degree in Vocal Music from the University of Oklahoma. He currently lives in Sand Springs, Okla., with his wife Janet, their cat, Baker, and two dogs, Wallace and Missy.

On Monday, April 2 the teacher walkout in Oklahoma began. How did we get to this point and what role does faith play in what is going on here?
