God, be with your people for they are at the mercy of creation.

Wrap your protection around those in the path of the storms and the earthquakes.

As the ground shakes, all around us seems to crumble,
but let us build our hope on Christ our solid rock.

And as we go through the storm, help us to know that you are greater than the storm;
that this too shall pass.

Just as we can rebuild so can our strength in you.

As creation cries out to us, let us listen, let us learn,
let us open our hearts to those devastated by the storms,
and open our minds to care for creation.

Remind us once again that you are the creator of all creation.

And as you send the call for physical and spiritual action for the earth,
I pray we answer.
