As a child, dear Lord, you knew me. You were there when I took my first steps, when I spoke my first word, when I laughed my first laugh. Let my walking, my talking, and my laughter be acceptable to you, O God, my most loving Parent. Help me to trust that just as you were there at the beginning of my life, you will be in its ending, walking me through and leading me home. Amen.
