Prayer of the Day: For a New Year

As we begin a new year and a new decade, we give thanks to you, God, for the many blessings and mercies that we have seen in the last years. We acknowledge that all these good things have come from you, and that your faithfulness has been our sustenance. We look forward to the coming year(s) with hope and anticipation to see what you will do in your world, trusting that your Spirit will continue to move mightily among your people and in your Church. We ask that you would help us to love you more and to love others more, not only in words and in speech but also in action and in truth. In the name of Jesus, whose birth we celebrated only weeks ago, amen.
