About The Event
Join us on June 11th at 7pm ET / 4pm PT, where we will be naming how inherited evangelical frameworks can disrupt or dilute liberative witness in the Black church, while inviting communities to reclaim a gospel rooted in justice, dignity, and collective freedom.
Together, we’ll explore how inherited evangelical frameworks can disrupt or dilute liberative witness in the Black church, and how communities can reclaim a gospel that centers the fullness of Black life, leadership, and liberation. This webinar will make space to name the tensions many churches are carrying, reflect on the spiritual and political stakes of this moment, and imagine what becomes possible when faith communities resist narratives that shrink the gospel and instead proclaim good news rooted in freedom, truth, and justice.
Speakers:
• Rev. Dr. Otis Moss III, Senior Pastor, Trinity United Church of Christ - Chicago
• Rev. Moya Harris, Senior Director of Programs, Sojourners
• Bryan Epps, Chief Program and Impact Officer, Sojourners
