Apology Needed?

I found Clyde Taylor’s comments (“Letters,” December 2006) interesting. He states the government of Iran “has yet to apologize for the horrific violation” of taking hostages at the U.S. Embassy in 1979. I wonder how we would feel, and act, toward the country that had engineered the overthrow of our government. Perhaps the United States first owes the people of Iran an apology for what we did to them years earlier.
