Airway to Heaven

The Merritt Ministry asked a simple question: “How do you create a hot air balloon that is both authentic and reverent in its mission of [representing] Jesus, the Son of God?” The answer? An impressive 110-feet tall, 100-feet wide, and 65-feet deep “Jesus—The Hot Air Balloon,” created by husband and wife ministry team Robert and Karen Schaible. Accompanied by “Arky” (a Noah-inspired balloon), not necessarily the world’s largest violation of the second commandment floats peacefully above North America, luring unsuspecting crowds to The Merritt Ministry’s evangelical revivals. Apparently, nothing convinces the unchurched about the sovereignty of Christ like 258,000 cubic feet of hot air.
