Early on in her otherwise excellent article, Mara Vanderslice writes that "the faith community had been active in opposition to the war." It should be abundantly clear that the community of those who put their faith in Jesus Christ has always included supporters as well as opponents of this war.
I respect Sojourners for its left-leaning perspective even when in specific instances I don't share it. In this case I have to hope that Vanderslice is guilty only of sloppy phrasing. If not, she's guilty of bigotry.
