Regarding Jim Wallis' article "How to Choose a President" (November 2012): To me it is not Christian to cut vital services such as Medicare, Medicaid, or Social Security; there are people who are really hurting and need these services. It would be nice if the churches and each individual could just go it alone, but many churches and individuals are struggling themselves. We, the people, are government. We are more powerful if we are united in our giving.
