About The Event
Stories shape how we understand the world and how we imagine changing it.
Acclaimed author Margaret Atwood will join Sojourners president Adam Russell Taylor for a live conversation about storytelling, power, resistance, and hope. Drawing from Atwood’s wide-ranging body of work, they will explore how narrative can uncover the forces shaping our lives, deepen our sense of responsibility to one another, and nurture the courage required to pursue justice.
The author of more than 50 books, including The Handmaid’s Tale, The Testaments, and the MaddAddam trilogy, Atwood has spent decades examining questions of democracy, gender, religious and political power, environmental responsibility, and human freedom. She has also contributed to Sojourners and joined us in previous conversations about Christianity, creation care, and faithful activism.
Join us for a timely exploration of what stories help us see and how they can inspire us to imagine and work toward a more just and hopeful future.
