Meredith Brasher

Meredith Brasher is the Press Secretary to the President at Sojourners Magazine.

Before joining the Sojourners team, Meredith worked as a Press Assistant on Stacey Abrams’ campaign for governor. As a member of Abrams’ standout campaign communications team, Meredith helped to amplify Stacey Abrams’ extraordinary vision for Georgia on a state, national, (and even global) stage. Meredith briefly lived in Washington, DC as a student in UGA’s Washington Semester program. She interned for EMILY’s List in the spring of 2017. Meredith holds a BA in English and Political Science from the University of Georgia where she graduated Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa. Meredith is an Atlanta native and a proud granddaughter of a Methodist minister. She has always understood her faith as an explicit call to pursue racial and environmental justice. She welcomes any conversations that revolve around progressive movements in the South, poetry, and/or excellent hiking trails.
