Shame on the Government

Ten years ago I was working 2 jobs that offered no benefits, one as a nurse and one as a nursing instructor for a local school district. I have hypertension and take one medication for this health issue. I was denied any health insurance based on this "pre-existing" health problem. When the Affordable Care Act was instituted, I was able to have access to healthcare and the reassurance that if I did have a catastrophic health crisis, I would not be bankrupted. The insurance companies are the ones that destroyed this act by pulling out of rural communities and limiting insurer choices. Shame on them, and shame on the government for targeting older Americans with their proposed plan.
