Prayer of the Day: A Second Prayer for Children

Almighty God, we commend to you the homes and shelters in which families dwell. Turn the hearts of the parents to the children, and the hearts of the children to the parents; and so enkindle fervent charity among us all, that we may evermore be kindly affectioned to one another. We lift up these requests particularly in light of the fact that families with children are among the fastest growing populations of the homeless. Lord, have mercy.
