On International Holocaust Remembrance Day, we think on the gross injustice that was inflicted upon the Jews not even a century ago. We mourn their deaths, we mourn the abuse of power, we mourn the silent complicity from too many in the face of overwhelming suffering and injustice. Give us eyes to see those situations around us and around the world today where you are calling us to speak out and defend the rights of the oppressed and afflicted. In the name of Jesus, the Messiah who was oppressed and afflicted for the sake of the world, amen.
