Prayer of the Day: Miners in South Africa

God, we pray for a peaceful resolve to the miners' demonstrations in South Africa. Lord, the violence gives us uneasy flashbacks to apartheid and states of emergency. Give the leaders the courage to condemn violence and engage in negotiations that lift up dignity and safety for all. Amen
