To mark the declaration of January 2010 as National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month, we lift up the issue of slavery and trafficking, Lord. We ask not only that you would stir your people to action to end this gross injustice but that by your Spirit, you would stir a fire in the hearts of those who perhaps do not yet know about the issue to get involved in bringing an end to slavery once and for all. We pray all this, trusting that the God who made all human beings to be equal will hold true. Amen.
