With the news that the conflict in Afghanistan has become America's longest war, we cry to you for peace. We ask for a cessation of conflict. We ask for reconciliation of relationship. We ask for a beloved community. We ask for the kingdom of God. In the name of the Prince of Peace, whose victory and return is assured. Amen.
