#BlackLivesMatter activists have turned Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving known for shopping, into #BlackFriday, the target of a shopping boycott. After the non-indictment decision in Ferguson, Rahiel Tesfamariam of Urban Cusp created the #NotOneDime boycott campaign, calling for “a cease on all non-essential shopping from Thanksgiving through Cyber Monday and reclaiming Black Friday as a national day of action and service” on the campaign’s website
