Rev. Andrea (Andi) Saccoccio is the director of congregational education and outreach for Sojourners, overseeing a grant focused on supporting faith leaders facing polarization in their communities. She is also principal and facilitator for Lefko Consulting, empowering predominantly white organizations and faith-based nonprofits to recognize and understand their unique culture and how it plays in multicultural spaces and relationships.
Andi completed her undergraduate education at McDaniel College (formerly Western Maryland College) where she was active in InterVarsity Christian Fellowship. After teaching in Maryland for four years, Andi moved into full-time ministry with InterVarsity in Massachusetts on a variety of different campuses.
She completed her Master of Divinity degree at Fuller Seminary, was ordained in the Presbyterian Church (USA) and appointed chaplain at Whitworth University, where she also taught in the theology department. In addition to campus ministry, she has served in pastoral roles in the church, both for Menlo Park Presbyterian Church in Menlo Park, Calif., and University Presbyterian in Seattle, Wash., and has empowered communities to seek justice for victims of human trafficking with both International Justice Mission and Oasis International. She also brings extensive experience in fundraising, serving the Seattle School of Theology & Psychology, Seattle Pacific University, and the Pacific Science Center as an advancement officer and grant writer before beginning her own consultancy.
Andi completed her doctoral work at Portland Seminary, focusing on the intersection of white identity development and collective trauma by integrating narrative trauma care modalities to engage racism in the white community. Andi served two terms on the board of the Impact Movement and often helps facilitate Impact’s cultural competency training. A Maryland native, she currently lives in the Spokane, Wash. area, where she can often be found exploring the Pacific Northwest with her border collie rescue, Bodhi.
