Shreya Agrawal is a science journalist and climate communicator who reports on the environment, science, health, politics, and social issues.

She is currently working at The Xylom as their inaugural newsroom fellow and at the USC Annenberg Center for Climate Journalism and Communication as their engagement coordinator.

Previously, she worked at CalMatters as a health care news intern and at the Malheur Enterprise as the inaugural rural climate reporting fellow for the USC Annenberg Climate Center. She graduated from USC in 2023 with degrees in geological sciences, creative writing, and journalism. Her work has also appeared in Los Angeles Times, Planet Forward, and USC Annenberg Media.

Since Oct. 7, 2023, when Hamas launched a terror attack against Israel, young people across the country have looked with alarm at Israel’s military action and the U.S. support for it.

“As soon as that day happened, I felt I was just kind of flung into high gear,” said Logan Crews, who is a first year Master of Divinity student at Yale University. “I began talking to friends right away and just processing through what was happening.”
