The spirit of the Lord God is upon me because the Lord has anointed me; he has sent me to bring good news to the oppressed, to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and release to the prisoners.

and his mouth be true as time / he be calling the people brother / even in the prison / even in the jail
Prayer of the day
Jesus, you have come in the blackness like a star. May we set the captives free and bring good news to the oppressed, just as you have taught us.
