A San Francisco native, Nicole is the founding CEO of Aslan Housing Foundation. She’s also led the Westly Foundation, Democratic Forum of Silicon Valley, and Mid-Peninsula Citizens for Fair Housing. Nicole has served on multiple boards at the national, state, and local level, including her locally elected school board. Her firm, Bergeron Law & Advising, serves foundations, nonprofits, and churches.
Nicole advises underrepresented founders of early-stage education startups via Denver’s Moonshot edVentures’ Expert Bench. She is a Capital Collaborator in New Orleans’ Camelback Ventures, committed to increasing access to opportunity and capital for entrepreneurs of color and women.
Nicole is the recipient of the Jesse Marvin Unruh California State Assembly Fellowship and the Tony Patiño Fellowship — both of which recognize people of character and capability who are committed to public service. Nicole has three degrees from the University of California: a Bachelor of Arts from U.C. Davis; a law degree from U.C. Law San Francisco; and a degree in public policy from U.C. Berkeley. She sings in the Glide Ensemble at Glide Memorial Church in the City.
