Sojourners' Women of the Word series features women preachers affirming God’s value of women throughout biblical history.

For much of church history, across denominations, women have faced obstacles as they follow the Spirit’s lead to the pulpit, despite God pouring out the Spirit on all flesh so God’s daughters could also prophesy. That’s why Sojourners felt it necessary to elevate women in the Word, just like Jesus did.
