This virtual course will build upon Sojourners' previous Thriving In Ministry initiatives exploring the intersection of theology, racialized policing, and justice reform. From child care centers to food banks, churches work hard to provide vital programs and resources that help children learn and grow. At the same time, there are deeply rooted structural injustices that make it challenging for families to access all of the supports they need. Faith leaders need to fully understand these challenges and address them both at the individual church level, as well as advocate for large-scale societal change. When clergy advocate, they tear down social injustices that help young children and families access the critical supports and resources they need to develop and thrive.
Thinking about how the church can continue to respond to the immigration crisis? Join Sojourners and Fuller Centro Latino for a 6-month cohort that will equip you with theological basis, historical overview, and practical responses toward building a just immigration system.
The Pluralism Leadership Academy is a selective cohort-based experience for emerging and aspiring public leaders from different religious communities, spiritual traditions, and values-grounded communities, including those with no religious affiliation. Through interactive workshops, participants build practical skills for engaging across differences, responding to polarization, and addressing real community challenges with others.
