WE ALWAYS ENJOY Ed Spivey's "H'rumphs" column, but "First Dance" (January-February 1999) is the funniest yet. I (Bob) laughed out loud repeatedly; more sedate Gwenny was nearly as audible. We think that Ed is as witty as the generally recognized "king," Dave Barry, and with deeper insights. By writing in Sojourners, Ed makes the glorious gospel more real and more appealing.
"H'rumphs" is worth the subscription price all by itself. On behalf of the (mostly silent) mass of appreciative readers, thank you very much.
