COOK FOR A CAUSE

The Cook for a Cause cookbook nourishes persons with AIDS through the sale of its recipes. The Madison Aids Support Network and Madison Urban Ministry have compiled a book of recipes from professors, members of Congress, chefs, coaches, and others.

This 94-page book offers a variety of appetizers, side dishes, entrees, and desserts. Recipes include dishes with a variety of cultural flavors, such as spicy Jamaican jerk sauce, Zapata's Revenge Salsa, Norwegian Lefse, and Wisconsin Apple Cranberry Pie.

The Madison AIDS Support Network serves the Madison, Wisconsin area through giving a voice to people with HIV, education and outreach to prevent HIV transmission, and direct care for those with HIV. The Madison Urban Ministry is a non-profit organization of more than 50 religious and community organizations. The group is currently working to build greater community awareness and involvement in such issues as racism, anti-violence education, affordable housing, and spirituality.

To contribute to the support of AIDS issues through these two groups, and to tap into some great recipes, send $16.95 to Madison Urban Ministries, 1127 University Ave., Madison, WI 53715; (608) 256-0906.
