I was deeply disappointed in Sojourners’ guidance on voting in regard to abortion (“Principles and Policies for Christian Voters,” December 2008). Reduce abortion, you say? We must promote all possible, peaceful strategies to end abortion as an alternative, not reduce it. Abortion is either killing or it isn’t; equivocating gets us nowhere. How can we seek to prevent the ungodly destruction of human life through some means but not all?
