So apparently John Lennon was a big fan of Eric Clapton. A big enough fan to write him a letter in 1971, just one year after the Beatles split up, asking to collaborate on music. The letter will be auctioned off during the Profiles in History auction in Los Angeles on Dec. 18 and is expected to go for something around $30,000. A handwritten letter from first president George Washington will also be sold. [via Paste]
