Voice of the day
Hope means hoping when things are hopeless, or it is no virtue at all... As long as matters are really hopeful, hope is mere flattery or platitude; it is only when everything is hopeless that hope begins to be a strength.
Prayer of the day
God, keep us humble and united, guarding us from the dangers of elevating leaders above the call to serve, especially in times of division and uncertainty.
Creator, when all seems hopeless, grant us the strength to wait on you.
