Verse of the day

For if you keep silent at this time, relief and deliverance will rise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. Who knows? Perhaps you have come to royal dignity for just such a time as this.”
Esther 4:14

Voice of the day

Jews have been an ever-dying people that never died. They have experienced a continuous resurrection, like the dry bones that Ezekiel saw in the valley. ... It is the mystery of the hidden miracle of survival in the face of overwhelming destruction. Our refusal to surrender has turned our story into one long, unending Purim tale.

Prayer of the day

Lord on this day of Purim, we remember how through the faithfulness of your servant Esther, you provided a way for your people to be saved; we celebrate the ways you work seen and unseen.
