With nearly 15 years of experience in faith-based advocacy, activism, and organizing, Jason Miller is passionate about working for justice and peace on a wide range of issues, such as democracy reform, economic justice, immigrant and refugee rights, and the environment. As the longtime director of campaigns and development at Franciscan Action Network, Jason co-led the Faithful Democracy coalition and was a steering committee member for the People’s Climate March. He worked on high-profile campaigns, including the Freedom to Vote Act, Fast 4 Families for Immigration Reform, Nuns on the Bus, SB5-Issue 2 in Ohio, and climate actions around the Pope’s visit to the U.S. As a freelance writer and consultant, he has devised and implemented rapid-response petition and email campaigns for Faithful America, Call to Action, and other small faith-based nonprofits. He also writes op-eds and articles for local and national media outlets, such as The Hill, Religion News Service, the Washington Post, U.S. Catholic, and his hometown Toledo Blade.
Outside the office, you can find Jason hanging out with his wife, Patrilie, and their chiweenie Luna in D.C.’s Hill East neighborhood, the 9:30 Club, or whichever local venue is hosting an alt-rock band from the British Isles.
