So you think the Pittsburgh Steelers won the big game Sunday night? Hundreds of poor kids in El Salvador will tell you that's not so, as they wear their brand new T-shirts and caps announcing the Arizona Cardinals as 2009 Super Bowl champions. An estimated $1 million worth of clothing produced before the game is being distributed to poor children and families through a partnership between World Vision and the National Football League. Jeff Fields, World Vision's senior director of corporate relations, says:
We work in those very deprived areas and it's just amazing to see how much need there is. They are living in very poor conditions
