Sojourners announced today that it is moving to a new location on Stanton Park in Northeast Washington, DC.  After renting for more than 40 years, Sojourners is purchasing a building at 408 C Street NE that will be conveniently accessible to public transportation and improve proximity to key partners and Capitol Hill.

The new space will reduce occupancy costs and increase opportunities to provide hospitality for those striving to “speak truth to power” to members of Congress and other federal officials.

“Our new location will aspire to evoke spiritual power in the shadows of traditional power and wealth,” said Sojourners President and Founder Rev Jim Wallis.  “We pray that such spiritual power will continue to motivate and transform us and the issues we are called to address.  And we invite our fellow Sojourners to visit us when they come to Washington!”

Sojourners is a Christian advocacy organization dedicated to helping Christians put their faith into action for social justice. The mission of Sojourners is to articulate the biblical call to social justice, inspiring hope and building a movement to transform individuals, communities, the church and the world.
