WASHINGTON, DC—Today, Sojourners announced an expanded role in the organization for longtime magazine Editor Jim Rice, which will tap his editorial, messaging and mobilizing experience. Jim’s organizing history will be helpful to the SojoAction team’s work to develop resources for the new Faith-Rooted Activist Network. With Sandi Villarreal, newly promoted as Executive Editor, Jim will continue his role as Editor of Sojourners magazine.

“Jim Rice’s 35+ years at Sojourners positions him to strengthen our mission to inspire hope and build movements,” said Rev. Jim Wallis, Founder and President of Sojourners. “Jim understands Sojourners’ deep history of bringing together faith and action.”

“When it comes to connecting message and mobilizing, Jim Rice understands that as well as anyone at Sojourners,” said Rev. Adam Taylor, Executive Director of Sojourners. “As we launch and grow SojoAction in these challenging times, we are fortunate to have Jim Rice’s indispensable knowledge and experience in the organization.”
