This quote is from an article in the January issue of Sojourners magazine. The article was written by David P. Gushee, the Distinguished University Professor of Christian Ethics at Mercer University. The article was adapted from his new book, "Changing Our Mind": a call from America's leading evangelical ethics scholar for full acceptance of LGBT Christians in the church (Read the Spirit, 2014).
Another article in the same edition details five books, from Christian pastors and scholars, that promote discussions on inclusion of LGBT Christians in the church. While tolerance and acceptance shine in parts of the country (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the Ada County Highway District), will Republicans in the Idaho Legislature and a number of Idaho citizens change?
