LORNA'S WRAP

Peace, order, and good government. Is that all that Canadians want out of their leaders?
It's certainly a big part. But scratch underneath the surface and you'll discover a long list of priorities that keep the lives of our MPs and our Prime Minister so busy. Today we looked at only a few of those.

God is not a Conservative or a Liberal. But I believe God does care about what gets debated in Parliament—for proof, look to hundreds of references to justice in the Bible. That tells me that the Bible is a book for all people and for all of life, and it addresses not just what we think of as "religious issues."

As Jim Wallis says, in the person of Jesus, God hits the streets—He moves into our neighbourhood. How is God part of your context? I believe He is there, and when we pray for eyes to see, your spirit makes the "aha" —the connection happens.
