Standing Ready

THANKS FOR including Joan Chittister's article "The Faith Will Survive" in your July-August issue.

THANKS FOR including Joan Chittister's article "The Faith Will Survive" in your July-August issue. Too bad she was not invited to address the bishops and cardinals in Dallas. She is a prophetic breath of fresh air in the Catholic Church. Perhaps all the media attention and active participation by the non-ordained will help to topple the silence, exclusion, and domination of the "old church." Hopefully, the winds of Pentecost have left Dallas, and fresh air and new inclusionary ideas and actions will refresh the faith-filled Catholic. I have my Master of Divinity degree from Loyola University in Chicago and am ready and willing to serve as a priest some day in the Catholic Church.
