On the anniversary of South Africa's first post-apartheid elections (1994), we celebrate and thank you for that act of justice. Yet we also remember the times and the places in which social, racial, and economic injustice and oppression continue. Give us the strength and perseverance to continue in your service, so that your kingdom might come, and your will might be done, on earth as it is in heaven. In the name of Jesus, whose death and resurrection destroyed the barriers that divide us, amen.
