I'm on my way to New York City, and I wanted to let you know that this evening I'll be visiting again with one of my favorite TV hosts -- Jon Stewart on Comedy Central's The Daily Show. I've been on the show twice before, and it's always fun.
This time we'll be talking about my new book, Rediscovering Values: On Wall Street, Main Street, and Your Street-A Moral Compass for the New Economy. The first chapter of the book is titled "Sunday School with Jon Stewart," and highlights Jon's schooling of CNBC's Mad Money host Jim Cramer. His interview with Cramer struck a chord for me and many other Americans because he touched on some of the things that should make us angry. He asked questions nobody else was asking -- at least not on television. How did we move from wealth resulting from real work to wealth coming from the "game" of the casino gamblers of Wall Street? That's one of the main themes of my book, and the news these days of record bonuses for the top executives of the major banks arouses the same questions.
I'm looking forward to the show, and I hope you'll join us at 11:00 p.m. on The Daily Show!
