E. Benjamin Skinner, A Crime So Monstrous: Face-to-Face with Modern-day Slavery (Free Press, 2008): Thoroughly researched, a vivid testament and moving reportage on one of the great evils of our time.

Siddharth Kara, Sex Trafficking: Inside the Business of Modern Slavery (Columbia University Press, 2009): Comprehensive account across four continents, focusing on economic and business aspects of global slavery and how aggressive economic and financial measures might stop it.

Julia O’Connell Davidson, Children in the Global Sex Trade (Polity, 2005): Thorough scholarly analysis of all aspects of the subject and its political, legal, and economic contexts.
