The Advertising Assistant coordinates the production of online, email and print advertising for all of Sojourners’ publications. This includes organizing incoming ad materials, communicating with advertising clients, creating reports and collaborating with sales team to implement creative, new ideas for our advertising clients.
The Campaigns and Communications Assistant(s) provides support for the campaigns and press teams including policy research, issue advocacy, online activism, and event planning. She/he track media coverage of Sojourners' initiatives and assists in creation of press materials and handling of media inquiries.
The Circulation Assistant is responsible for direct and indirect subscriber customer service, which entails answering the phone, responding to emails and troubleshooting account problems for both Preaching the Word and the Sojourners website. This position represents Sojourners at conferences and prepares materials for these events. Tasks include running reports, maintaining inventory of resources and fulfilling subscription premiums.
The Magazine Editorial Assistant(s) provides research, administrative and creative support to Sojourners’ print magazine each month. S/he participates in long-term planning and idea generating, fact checking articles, conducting interviews, maintaining digital archives, and cross-publishing content to Sojourners website.
The Multimedia Assistant researches, produces, and edits video and audio stories for Sojourners’ award-winning multimedia team. S/he also supports our Audience Engagement team for research, data analysis and visualization, and social media outreach.
The Online Editorial Assistant helps post and create content for Sojourners’ online publication by following religion and politics news, editing submissions to the publication, writing, and reporting. In addition, the Online Assistant helps manage Sojourners’ online subscriptions.
The Summit/Administrative Assistant provides support to The Summit leadership team planning Sojourners' annual leadership convening in June, including visioning, marketing, logistics, program, speakers, sponsors, and registration. In addition, this position provides support to the Administrative team including the office manager, human resources, and finance.
