Two young, successful filmmakers ditch their Hollywood status to start a non-profit production company in Philadelphia that works with homeless people. Neighborhood Film Company is a creative endeavor that uses filmmaking to help adults recover and find employment. [Paste]  

Stride Gum parodies Apple’s sleek and simplistic methods of advertising to promote their new chewing gum that “redefines the limits of possibility. Again.” [Laughing Squid]

Pixar’s newest short film “Partysaurus Rex,” features Rex from Toy Story hosting the show in a bubble bath party scene. Take a look at this cute clip before the full thing hits theaters this fall with Finding Nemo 3D. [via YouTube]

Last year the two members of the innovative electronic duo The Books parted ways. Listen to an interview a Chirp Radio DJ conducted with musician Nick Zammuto on the career of The Books, his new musical project with his brother, and how physical building projects relate to writing music. The indie rock band Silversun Pickups and the Romney 2012 campaign get into a tussle after their song “Panic Switch” was used at several campaign stops. The lead singer/guitarist said in a press release that they thought about letting it go for irony’s sake, but they have instead filed a cease-and-desist order for using their music without permission. Watch a 25 minute documentary on husband-wife duo Over the Rhine, set on their farm in Ohio. The couple plays songs from their newest album The Long Surrender, and talks about nature, family, farm life, and songwriting. [BUYTV]
