Respectfully, there can be no "reconciliation" without economic and racial justice. This is perhaps most evident in Dr. King's "Why We Can't Wait" and his brilliant sermon at Riverside Church on April 4, 1967 entitled, "A Time to Break the Silence." Indeed, Mandela himself knew that TRUTH and "Reconciliation" must go hand in hand. And in our nation, it seems that "truth" is too infrequently stated or heard. (The link to the report I commended in the article is part of speaking the truth.) Thank you for your comment--and for reading.
Official rhetoric has helped fuel an escalation of tension between the United States and Iran. Do recent negotiations mark a change in direction, or just a temporary detour from the highway to military attack?

Brilliant. Thank you.
Thank you, Lisa--for quoting Dr. King and for reminding us that healing is possible. "Lord, in Your Mercy, Hear Our Prayers"
Brilliant observations--thank you . . .
