I accept the fact that President Obama is a Christian because of his public confession of that. The troubling thing is his actions that do not seem to match his confession.
If you did not read his statement of faith one might conclude he was secularist only.
This Christian did push back on many of President Bush's plans. His increased spending & resultant debt during the second term was unacceptable in my view. His growth of big government & entitlement programs was democratic light.
He did very little to slow our slide into a socialist democratic country.
It was sad to see him abandon our fiscally conservative positions.
Labels can be very misleading & deliberately confusing.
I need a new label for me as I believe in a heaven & hell, that marriage is only between a heterosexual male & female, that any sex outside of the marriage bed is wrong, that life is sacred & begins at conception. I further believe that God created only one race, the Human Race & the only way to salvation is through my savior Christ Jesus.
I am sure most folks posting here can recommend a label.
President Carter said: "All three religions have the same basic tenets of peace, caring for those in need or afflicted and caring for one another's visitors. But it is the radical approach to Christianity, Islam and now even Judaism, which causes the conflict. The basic premise of all three religions is the same."
I am sorry sir, but that is not what the Quran teaches or what the founder of Islam practiced.
Official rhetoric has helped fuel an escalation of tension between the United States and Iran. Do recent negotiations mark a change in direction, or just a temporary detour from the highway to military attack?

I would gather from this that MSNBC relies on Perkins to the exclusion of of other Christian spokesmen. I find that difficult to believe.
Could it be that some do not want to hear any opposing viewpoints?

Sad that so many folks including our President are willing to sacrifice energy independence for emotions instead of facts.

This would seem like a great time for people of faith to give prayerful consideration to supporting a fellow believer such as Rick Santorum.
Just returned from shopping at Lowes. They seemed to be doing well.
Disapointing the NYPD took so long to clear out a crime ridden public health hazard that was clearly in violation of numerous civil & moral laws.
Not exactly the model for a "Christian Blog"
