Why I can't shut up about stopping executions
This is the fifth column I have written about capital punishment in the eight years I have been a community columnist.
I don’t enjoy writing controversial articles — I get lots more joy in writing “down home” type articles, and for sure I get a lot more affirmation when I write those kind.
Then why can’t I just shut up about the executions?
The immediate stimulation for this particular column is the January issue of “Sojourners, a Faith in Action for Social Justice” monthly magazine to which I subscribe.
