Malone University to host immigration conference

Malone University will host an Immigration Conference from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 23 in the Johnson Memorial Chapel, 2600 Cleveland Ave. NW.

Scheduled speakers include Matthew Soerens of World Relief and author of “Welcoming the Stranger;” Lisa Sharon Harper from Sojourners; and Arturo Martinez. There also will be workshops with former INS/ICE Border Patrol Agent Michael Rendon, who is now an immigration defense attorney; a session on human trafficking, a DREAM Act panel, and on mobilization.
