Internationally-known social justice advocate, author speaks at Aspen Chapel
Jim Wallis, a New York Times best-selling author, public theologian and international commentator on ethics and public life, speaks at Aspen Chapel on Wednesday, June 26. Wallis will talk about his new book, On God's Side: What Religion Forgets and Politics Hasn't Learned About Serving the Common Good. The talk is $25 per person and includes a copy of Jim’s new book and a book signing after the presentation. The talk takes place in the Chapel sanctuary from 7 to 8 p.m. Wallis is in Aspen in conjunction with the Aspen Institute’s Ideas Festival.
Wallis is the author of 10 books. His latest book, On God's Side: What Religion Forgets and Politics Hasn't Learned About Serving the Common Good (Brazos Press), was released in April 2013. His most recent books include: Rediscovering Values: A Guide for Economic and Moral Recovery; The Great Awakening: Reviving Faith & Politics in a Post-Religious Right America; and God’s Politics: Why the Right Gets It Wrong and the Left Doesn’t Get It. He recently served on the White House Advisory Council on Faith-based and Neighborhood Partnerships and currently serves as the vice chair of the Global Agenda Council on Values of the World Economic Forum.
