Rev. Paul Sadler and noted author and religious leader Jim Wallis will lead hundreds in preaching, praise and worship on eve of a Sunday march and public witness to Vote Out Poverty in Cleveland and across the nation.

Background: A Saturday night Revival! will be dedicated to spiritual renewal and celebration, where hundreds will participate in a spirt-filled worship service with preaching and a call to action from both Reverend Paul Sadler, of the Mount Zion Congregation in Cleveland, and Jim Wallis, the best-selling author of God’s Politics and the founder of Sojourners, the largest national network of progressive Christians. The Prayer Warriors, a local gospel choir, will perform. Rev. Zina Jacque, of The Community Church in Barrington, IL, will be the worship leader for the service.

The Revival occurs on the eve of a march and public witness by hundreds of faithful people calling for action on ending poverty in Cleveland and throughout the country. The Revival is free and open to the public. It is sponsored by the Politics and Spirituality: Reviving Our Spirits, Transforming Our Politics Conference, which has been organized by Sojourners, founded by Jim Wallis, and the Center for Action and Contemplation, founded by Father Richard Rohr.
