In our ongoing coverage of the bovine peace movement: Reuters radio revealed that ambassadorial cows are crossing the highly militarized border between Eritrea and Ethiopia. "A town commissioner arrived a few days ago with nine cows that had wandered over, so we escorted them back," said a major in charge of the fortified checkpoint. He admits that this is not the first time the cows have flagrantly defied the 1,000-kilometer border patrolled by more than 4,000 U.N. troops.
